A weekly review that matches entry and exit rules
Generic mood notes rarely improve a playbook. Ask questions your written criteria can answer with yes or no.
After each trade taken under your entry–exit rules, answer three factual prompts: Did the trigger match the written sentence? Was invalidation defined before size? Did the exit follow the stop, scale, or hard-abort rule you named?
Yes/no answers beat essays. Over a month you can count how often you entered without a clear invalidation — that count is more useful than a paragraph about confidence.
Add one qualitative line only for exceptions: why you overrode a stand-aside or moved a stop outside the trail rule. Exceptions should be rare enough to list on a single page.
Open Markup Evenings often end with a two-minute review of those counts. Patterns emerge quickly: late entries after the move, stops tucked under wicks without room for noise, or targets abandoned because a neighbour on a forum exited earlier.
